My Saturday Routine (Spring)

Yay! Spring is near. I’m so excited for the warm weather that I’ve already started picking out outfits. I love having self-care routines to get me started for the day, week, and weekend. Last year, I wrote about my morning routine for winter. Today, I am going to write about my Saturday routine. I feel you should spend one day having fun and trying new things. Saturday is my favorite weekend day.

The first thing I do every morning is open my window, fix a cup of coffee and sit in my favorite chair. From there, I reflect on my goals for the future.

I write……

I write down my negative thoughts and behaviors and then I pray for forgiveness and growth.

I read over my goals for the day, week, month, year, and next five to ten years.

I read over what I have accomplished and what I’ve done in my life over the last thirty years.

I workout…….(I always wear my belly burner ;-))

I stretch my body.

I run 3-6 miles.

I focus on working out my entire body, so I do the following exercises:

Push ups (3 sets of 25)

Crunches (3 sets of 25)

Squats (3 sets of 25)

Side Plank Hip Lifts (3 sets of 25)

Play 1-4 games of full court basketball.

I stretch again.

I focus on a hobby……..

My hobbies consists of reading, learning a language, cooking, drawing, and of course, fitness.

After my shower, I focus on one of those hobbies for 1-2 hours.

I explore……

I always plan an event to do on Saturday, whether it’s an event I can do at home or outside of the house. Here is a list of things I like to do on a Saturday:

Tryout a new coffee shop in the area (I love coffee).

Go shopping

Attend an event that is about a culture or topic that I am not familiar with.

Go to brunch with friends.

Talk or hang out with someone new.

Go to a grand opening.

Go hiking or camping (I love being outdoors).

Go for a long walk.

Sit by the pool.

Grill.

Host a get-together at my place.

Watch a new documentary.

Attend an event I have been invited to.

Blog.

Sit in a park and read.

Saturday night……

I love going out with my girls or a group of friends. So we like to…….

Try out a new club.

Go to a place that plays live music.

Dance.

Drink and take shots.

Go to a new event at a club or bar.

Go to a concert or premier.

Go on dates.
